PRESSURE REDUCING VALVES
The Fireguard FG06-199 series Pressure Regulating Valves (PRV) are BSI-certified fire brigade valves manufactured to BS5041 Part 1, designed to maintain a constant, safe firefighting pressure in fire-water mains regardless of system location or fluctuating supply pressures. Particularly suited to high-rise buildings and wet riser installations, they ensure firefighting equipment always operates within safe working limits — from ground floor to the highest occupied level.
Consistent Pressure, Every Time In high-rise applications, static pressure in a wet riser can exceed safe operating limits for portable firefighting equipment. The FG06-199 PRV automatically regulates outlet pressure to a consistent 4.5–7 bar regardless of inlet pressure variations between 5.7 and 21 bar. The factory default setting of 7 bar is fully field-adjustable to suit the specific requirements of any installation.
Robust Construction Bodies are cast from LG2 bronze for exceptional corrosion resistance and longevity. Grey cast iron handwheels and a hydrostatically tested seat (to 20 bar) and body (to 30 bar) ensure reliable, long-term performance in demanding wet riser environments. Available in flanged (FG06-199A-00/A1-00) and screwed inlet (FG06-199B-00) configurations in DN50 and DN65 sizes, all with a standard 2½" BS336 instantaneous female outlet.
