PRE ACTION SYSTEM
Pre action System with Electric/ Pneumatic Release is generally used to protect water sensitive areas such as computer rooms, storage areas of valuable articles, to avoid water damage due to damaged sprinklers or damaged sprinkler piping. Preaction System is also effectively used to have Pre-alarm of a possible fire condition and allows time to extinguish fire by hand held fire extinguishing equipment, prior to water discharge through sprinkler heads. It uses an automatic sprinkler with supplemental detection system. Installation & Maintenance Guidelines
⚠️ CAUTION:
- Do not over tighten the gauge
- Do not tighten the gauge by holding the dial - always use a spanner on the socket square
- Mount using the square provided for spanner grip, not by turning the case
- Use PTFE tape around male threads for sealing
- Mount in vertical position and isolate with valve or cock
- Do not install visibly damaged gauges
- Inspect regularly for corrosion or damage
- Calibrate periodically as per NFPA/TAC requirements or local authority jurisdiction

BREECHING INLET VALVE
The Fireguard FG08 series breeching inlet valves are BSI-certified dry riser inlet assemblies fully compliant with BS5041 Part 3, designed to provide ground-level water supply connection points for dry rising main systems. When positioned as close as possible to the rising main, they minimise pressure loss — a critical consideration in high-rise building firefighting operations where the fire brigade charges the system in an emergency.
Two Configurations for Different Flow Requirements
The FG08-202-00 2-way inlet breeching provides two 2½" instantaneous male BS336 non-return valve inlets with a 4" outlet flange, suited to buildings with moderate riser flow requirements.
The FG08-203-00 4-way inlet breeching provides four 2½" instantaneous male non-return valve inlets with a 6" outlet flange, delivering higher flow capacity for larger or taller high-rise buildings.
Both models are supplied complete with a 1" drain valve and plastic blank caps for inlet protection when not in use.
Robust Construction Bodies are cast from ductile iron to BS EN 1563:1997, with universal PN16 flange copper alloy inlets to BS EN 12163:1998 and male instantaneous copper alloy outlets to BS336/BS EN 12163:1998 — ensuring long-term durability and compatibility across all standard UK fire brigade connections.

Relay Module IQ611MR
The IQ611MR is an intelligent addressable relay module designed to extend the control capabilities of fire alarm systems. Providing two simultaneously activated relay output sets, it takes a single address on the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) or Data Communication Link (DCL) of the fire alarm control panel — enabling precise, programmable control of auxiliary devices such as door holders, fans, lifts, and other building systems.
Clear Status Indication A red LED provides continuous visual feedback on the module's status. During normal operation it blinks every 4 seconds; when an event is activated, the LED blinks at an extended rate to indicate the active condition, returning to normal once the event clears.
Flexible Installation Compatible with both Class A/DCLA and Class B/DCLB circuit configurations, the IQ611MR mounts directly onto a standard 2×4 or 4×4 electrical box using the IQ611B surface wall box. Wiring is straightforward with 12–18 AWG wire.
