The FIREGUARD FGVI388 is an FM Approved underground-type indicator post built for dependable valve monitoring in fire protection systems. Compliant with AWWA C550 through its fusion-bonded epoxy coating, it offers strong corrosion resistance for long-term underground performance.
Designed with a Lexan window and PTFE-gasketed window glass, the FGVI388 provides a clear, weather-tight view of the “OPEN” and “SHUT” target indicators at all times. The ASTM A536 ductile iron body, AISI 304 stainless steel cotter pin and plug, and AISI 1045 stem combine robust construction with precision operation.
With an adjustable standpipe depth range of 0–34.25″ and a 12″ diameter base flange, the FGVI388 is straightforward to install and field-adjust to suit varying burial conditions — no specialist tools required.
