The FIREGUARD FGWI388 is an FM Approved wall-type indicator post engineered for above-ground valve monitoring in fire protection systems. Compliant with AWWA C550 via its fusion-bonded epoxy coating, it provides excellent corrosion resistance for long-term reliability in both indoor and exposed environments.
Featuring a handwheel operator and clear “OPEN” and “SHUT” target indicators behind a Lexan window with a PTFE gasket seal, the FGWI388 ensures immediate, weather-tight visibility of valve status. The ASTM A536 ductile iron body, crane coupling, and handwheel deliver robust construction, while the AISI 304 stainless steel plug, cotter pin, and countersunk screws add precision and corrosion resistance throughout.
A simple three-step field adjustment process means the unit can be commissioned quickly — just set the targets for the appropriate valve size and reattach the top section.
