RETARD CHAMBER
UL Listed and FM Approved retard chamber designed for use with alarm valve trim in systems where variable water pressure is anticipated. Acting as a holding tank, the RC9 prevents false alarms triggered by pressure surges while ensuring the sprinkler alarm activates reliably during a sustained water flow event.
Connected between the alarm valve port and the sprinkler alarm via a restriction nozzle assembly, the chamber fills only when flow exceeds the drain nozzle capacity — allowing the alarm and pressure switch to activate with confidence. Constructed from stainless steel for long-term durability and corrosion resistance.
