The IQ611MI is an intelligent short-circuit isolator module designed to protect the integrity of the Signalling Line Circuit (SLC) or Data Communication Link (DCL) in addressable fire alarm systems. When a short-circuit fault is detected on the loop, the module’s internal relay automatically disconnects the affected segment, containing the fault and preserving communication with all other devices on the loop.

Automatic Fault Isolation & Recovery
Once a short-circuit is detected, the IQ611MI instantly disconnects line power to the trouble point. A yellow LED turns on steady to clearly indicate the fault condition. When the short clears, the internal relay automatically returns to its normal position, restoring line power and turning off the LED — with no manual intervention required.

No Address Required
Unlike most addressable modules, the IQ611MI occupies no address on the FACP’s SLC/DCL, eliminating the need for address programming and simplifying system design and installation.
