The FG-BD100 is a high-performance reflective infrared beam detector designed for protecting large open spaces such as warehouses, atriums, sports halls, and industrial facilities. Operating on the principle of infrared beam obscuration via a single reflective mirror, it alerts the fire alarm panel when smoke interrupts the beam path — covering distances from 8 to 100 metres in a single-ended, easy-to-install configuration.

Effortless Alignment
What sets the FG-BD100 apart is its exceptionally user-friendly commissioning process. A built-in laser beam pointer identifies the exact mirror mounting location, while a Nixie tube digital display guide shows real-time light intensity between the detector and mirror — making precise alignment straightforward even in large, complex spaces.

Flexible Range & Sensitivity
Four selectable beam pathway spans (8–20m, 20–40m, 40–70m, and 70–100m) are configurable via encoder, alongside three adjustable sensitivity settings (2.6 dB, 3.8 dB, and 5.8 dB) to suit different environmental conditions. Automatic compensation continuously corrects for dust contamination, positional drift, and transmitter ageing — maintaining consistent detection performance throughout the product’s life.
