The IQ361MI loop isolator is used to isolate a faulty section of a bus in the event of a short circuit, ensuring other devices on the loop continue to operate normally. Once the fault is cleared, the isolated section is automatically reconnected back into the system. The isolator also helps determine the physical location of a short circuit on the bus.
