The FGS01 is a reliable, battery-powered stand-alone photoelectric smoke detector designed for residential and small commercial use. Operating on the photocell principle, it continuously monitors the air for smoke particles produced by fire, providing early warning that gives occupants the vital seconds needed to evacuate and call emergency services.

Simple & Self-Contained
Requiring no wiring or connection to a fire alarm control panel, the FGS01 is powered by a single 9V battery lasting at least one year under normal conditions. When the battery runs low, the detector gives an audible beep at 30–40 second intervals for a minimum of 7 days — providing ample warning before power is lost.

Easy to Test & Maintain
A built-in test button allows weekly functional testing with a single press. The unit should be vacuumed regularly to remove dust particles from the detection chamber. The casing must not be opened during cleaning.

Recommended Placement
For optimal protection, install at least one detector per room and one per floor, with particular attention to hallways, stairways, bedroom doors, living rooms, and storage areas containing electrical equipment. Avoid installation in damp spaces, near doors or windows, or in areas subject to temperature extremes (below 4°C or above 40°C).
